Hi Gize,

Just coming in for a look.  Needing a new refuge since Xandros went to the dark side.  Geekydude pointed me in this direction.

I currently have a download in progress from the main download site and it's averaging about 16 - 18KB/sec.  Is this about the expected speed or is there a problem with the server?

I'll begin to give feedback just as soon as I can get it installed and running.

Cheers

Hey G bak,

And welcome aboard. Nope, mate, just tried it and my download speed was 170 odd kb/sec, on both the main and the first mirror site. If your download can't get it's act together, just PM me and I'll send you a spare DVD I have, I am just across the ditch. You can shout me a VB for my efforts  Grin

If in the next 2 to 3 days they don't release their next beta, by then you will be able to download 2 different new Klikit-Linux alpha releases (0.1-4a and 0.1-4-LE)   (hint... hint...)  Grin

Got our DVD today-thanks Harvey!   Grin  How in the world did you know TheDoctor's favorite color?   Wink

Now to nag him to install it over one of his babies.  Hours of labor for some of those you know.  He'll probably figure out a way to get around that even though we're already jacked to the rafters with hard drives.  He's got us on a one-of-a-kind set up, so Mama don't mess with that.  No matter.  He'll get it done.  He's a good one like that.   Smiley

Thanks again Harvey  Smiley

You are more than welcome... enjoy Wink Smiley

You can run it as a LiveDVD, too, BTW.

Unfortunately DVD players (and burners less so!) aren't as common as they will be. We should aim for a live CD, IMHO.

LE stands for Light Edition   Grin  ...
I've been spending the last days shaping it up, and its looking VERY good  ... in some aspects even better tan the DVD version.

the LE (Light Edition) -CD size- already has the Darkplastic theme included! ...
Once I finish it and upload it, I'll post instructions of how to customize it (btw it is easy)
In the next build (not the coming one) it will be included as an optional theme (under themes)
